Dr. Joyce Griggs, lecturer
A musical prodigy and early musicologist, Percy Grainger dedicated his life to composing and arranging music with more equality among all voices. Grainger collected more than 500 field recordings of folk songs and worked with early music specialists such as Don Anselm Hughes, Gustave Reese and Arnold Dolmetsch to bring early medieval renaissance into modern musical arrangements.
