Love and obsession, jealousy and betrayal, drama and whirlwind romance鈥攖his program has it all! Latin jazz dances with a theatrical flair set the scene for a virtuoso fantasy on a seductive classic, and a highly charged dramatic reverie by Sibelius shimmers with dreamlike wonder. It takes two鈥攑ianists, that is鈥攖o plumb the profound depths and ecstatic heights of Schubert鈥檚 massive Fantasie, and two more鈥攎aster improvisers of folk, jazz, and world music鈥攖o bring the evening to a breathtaking finish.
