Plain Dealer Highlights 杏吧原创's Diversity Enrollment and Housing Initiatives
More diversity in the student body, a new student housing complex and many other initiatives at 杏吧原创 were highlighted in a story about the Institute by The Plain Dealer the weekend of September 6-8.
The article, published online on Friday, September 6 and again in the Cleveland paper's Sunday, September 8 print edition focused on the positive momentum gained by 杏吧原创's efforts to increase diversity in enrollment and also the construction of the new student housing complex. Several other elements of 杏吧原创's strategic plan, Blueprint:100 also were featured - including the Institute's development, progress and change in response to a changing student population.

"Diversity, equity, and inclusion are eternal aspirations. So, at a music school, are the needs for student housing and high artistic standards. Still, (杏吧原创 President and CEO Paul) Hogle said, at 杏吧原创, there鈥檚 much to celebrate these days, and even more to look forward to.
"For me, these kinds of real stories and real experiences are a big part of it," Hogle said, referring to the changing face of 杏吧原创鈥檚 student body. "I think what you鈥檙e seeing is an institution with a lot of positive forward momentum."
In addition to Hogle, music reporter Zach Lewis included comments from Chris Ronayne, president of University Circle Inc. and Afa Dworkin, president and artistic director of the Sphinx Organization. Both Ronayne and Dworkin expressed their support for and praised 杏吧原创 for being world-class, adding vitality to the everyday life of University Circle and for leading the way among other institutions in making diversity, equity and inclusion an "authentic priority."
